Advocacy in Action
Advocacy plays an essential role in expanding understanding and challenging the stigma surrounding epilepsy. Through community outreach, speaking engagements, awareness initiatives, and participation in epilepsy education and advocacy events alongside members of the broader epilepsy community, opportunities are created to increase awareness and encourage meaningful conversations about epilepsy.
Living with epilepsy often involves navigating challenges related to healthcare access, employment, transportation, and public understanding. Auraclipse supports advocacy efforts that help bring attention to these barriers while encouraging conversations that lead to greater awareness, accessibility, and inclusion.
This work also includes engaging with Latino communities and disability communities throughout Las Vegas, helping ensure that epilepsy education, awareness, and support reach the diverse individuals and families impacted by epilepsy.

Advancing Awareness & System Change
Advocacy also includes supporting broader efforts that improve protections, understanding, and support for individuals living with epilepsy. Across the country, initiatives such as Seizure Safe Schools legislation and protections under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act play an important role in helping ensure students with epilepsy have access to safe learning environments and appropriate accommodations.
Through education, awareness, and community engagement, Auraclipse helps highlight the importance of these protections and encourages conversations that support safer schools, informed workplaces, and stronger support systems for individuals living with epilepsy.
Advancing Research Awareness
Advocacy also includes connecting individuals living with epilepsy with research and clinical studies that are shaping the future of epilepsy care. Increasing awareness of research opportunities allows people with lived experience to contribute their voices while strengthening the connection between the epilepsy community and ongoing advancements in treatment and understanding.
